The Joy to Perform at Wales Bonner’s Togetherness at the Guggenheim, NYC

As New York ushers in one of its most vibrant artistic seasons with the Met Gala, Frieze, and a flood of cultural events on the horizon — The Joy is set to bring their transcendent harmonies to the heart of it all. The South sensational group will take the stage at the Guggenheim Museum on Saturday, May 3rd, as part of Wales Bonner presents: Togetherness — a one-night-only celebration of movement, sound, and spirit.

Curated by celebrated fashion designer and cultural visionary Grace Wales Bonner, Togetherness unfolds alongside the museum’s major exhibition Rashid Johnson: A Poem for Deep Thinkers. The night features a carefully selected lineup of musical voices from across the globe, including Amaarae, Fireboy DML, The Cavemen., keiyaA, Navy Blue, Etran De L’Air, and Ade ‘Acyde’ Odunlami — with The Joy standing proudly among them.

Their appearance marks another milestone for the group as they continue to connect global audiences to their roots, using voice, rhythm, and tradition to tell deeply human stories.
