As an introduction to his forthcoming musical era, Bokani Dyer presents Radio Sechaba: Live from the Basement — a special live performance at Untitled Basement in Johannesburg on 11 June.
Rooted in themes of togetherness, connection, and celebration, Radio Sechaba reflects the sense of community that has become central to Dyer’s work.
Dyer will perform alongside a dynamic ensemble featuring Bonj on vocals, Sphelelo Mazibuko on drums, Shane Cooper on guitar, Dalisu Ndlazi on bass, and Ntsikelelo Mcwabe on trumpet. Acclaimed rapper and lyricist Stogie T will also join the evening as a special guest.
Known for his emotionally resonant live performances, Bokani Dyer continues to push the boundaries of South African jazz and contemporary music. This perforance promises an evening of rich musical interplay, improvisation, and immersive sonic storytelling.
