Dear Ribane is taking its acclaimed conceptual performance art into the heart of South Africa’s most important design gathering.
The multi-dimensional trio will perform at both Design Indaba and at its Nightscape public festival, giving conference-goers and the public the opportunity to witness Dear Ribane’s mesmerising performances up-close.
Dear Ribane’s inclusion in Design Indaba comes as it celebrates 25 years of inspiring people through creativity. This year’s speakers include futurist Li Edelkoort, Zimbabwean-born bio-designer and researcher Natsai Audrey Chieza and Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen, the first South African chef to obtain a coveted Michelin star.
A cultural extravaganza of performances, installations, design exhibitions, masterclasses and live music, Design Indaba’sNightscape will take place at the Artscape Piazza from 26-28 February 2020.
Joining Dear Ribane at Nightscape are BCUC, YoungstaCPT, Bakai, Sio, Gourmet Spaghetti Boy, Diamond Thug, Felix Laband, Kay Faith, Laudable, Bye Beneco, Mx Blouse, Blaqkongo and Surreal Sessions.
Nightscape is held in The Design Village which hosts a series of of accessible events including performances, masterclasses and exhibitions.
