Bokani Dyer has been announced as part of the lineup for the 69th Monterey Jazz Festival, set to take place from 25–27 September 2026.
One of the longest-running jazz festivals in the world, Monterey continues to be a defining platform for global jazz excellence, bringing together pioneering artists and audiences from across generations.
The announcement follows Dyer’s successful debut of his Home at Last: A Bheki Mseleku Tribute, a project that has seen him bring previously unrecorded works by the late South African jazz legend to the stage. The tribute has further cemented Dyer’s position as both a custodian and innovator within the jazz tradition.
His inclusion in this year’s Monterey lineup marks another significant moment in his international trajectory, as he continues to carry South African jazz onto some of the world’s most respected stages.
