Bongeziwe Mabandla has added six new South African dates to his 2026 performance schedule. The new shows will see him perform across Cape Town, Komani, the Cradle of Humankind, Gqeberha and KuGompo City in September and October.
The dates add to a busy year of performances across Africa and Europe. They also lead into Bongeziwe’s European shows in November, including performances in Paris, London and Amsterdam.
Bongeziwe Mabandla Live in South Africa
The new South African dates begin with the Regent Rd Heritage Streetfest at Mojo Market in Cape Town on 24 September. He will then perform at the Komani Jazz Festival on 26 September.
In October, Bongeziwe returns to the stage for OUR ORIGIN FESTIVAL at the Cradle of Humankind on 17 October. He will then head to Gqeberha for The One Room on 22 October, followed by a performance at House 87 in Quigney, KuGompo City, on 23 October.
The South African run closes at NIROX Sculpture Park in Kromdraai on 25 October as part of Good Neighbours.
These performances add to an international schedule that has already taken Bongeziwe to venues and festivals across Europe throughout 2026.
November in Europe
Bongeziwe’s November performances will take him back to Europe, with three dates across France, the UK and the Netherlands.
On 14 November, he will perform at Le Trabendo in Paris. He then heads to London for the EFG London Jazz Festival at Union Chapel on 19 November.
The following day, 20 November, Bongeziwe performs at Melkweg (De Overkant) in Amsterdam.
Together, these performances continue a busy year for Bongeziwe, following the release of his album Ndingubani in June. The album explores identity, memory, self-discovery and the experiences that shape who we become.
