Our hearty congratulations go to director Zee Ntuli who is among the winners of September 2023’s Best In Craft Awards for his work on “Soze (the child inside)” – a video that was created to accompany “Soze”, a track off Bongeziwe Mabandla’s acclaimed album amaXesha.
IDIDTHAT.co Craft Awards are announced monthly with ad industry leaders awarding the finest in South African film and production craft across various categories.
Ntuli was awarded BEST IN CRAFT (DIRECTION) by Katlego Baaitse, Director at Spitfire Films, and CRAFT MENTION (DIRECTION) by Kirk Gainsford, Chief Creative Officer, MullenLowe SA.
“One cannot help but think about their inner child when watching, ‘Soze (the child inside)’,” said Baaitse. “The director’s storytelling prowess is nothing short of exquisite. We the audience are taken on a character’s journey that really asks you to look inward, or at the very least, makes you curious about your inner child.
