Following months of high-profile shows in the UK, homegrown fans of The Joy will finally be able to see the quintet perform their first headline show in Durban.
The Suncoast Barnyard Theatre is the venue for the October 28th show and is the first time fans can see The Joy perform songs off their critically acclaimed EP, Hammarsdale which was released in August through UK-based Transgressive Records.
“The songs are pictures of our lives and daily experiences in the township of Hammarsdale in Kwazulu Natal where we grew up, met and live in,” says The Joy of their new music. “The songs speak about love and hate, separation and unification, jealousy and trust, regret, hope and forgiveness.”
In the lead up to the show on the 28th, The Joy will begin a second installment of their highly anticipated Campus Tour which will feature multiple dates at different educational institutions as well as special discounts for students. Tickets can be purchased via Quicket.
