Details around the collaboration have been pretty hush-hush, so we’ll just have to wait until the 8th to find out what’s really good. For now, here’s what we do know: Sibot is one of South Africa’s most celebrated musicians with 2 decades behind him making music. As a scratch DJ, then founder of Real Estate Agents and Playdoe, he’s been at it producing his own music under the Sibot moniker, and most recently he began a project called V.L.D.T (Validate) which is on-going, released through a series of EP’s. Fashion and uniform has always been a part of his stage performances, so the natural evolution would be this collaborative conversation with Shelflife…
While some might say he’s been quiet of late, dig a little deeper and you’ll notice that Simon “Sibot” Ringrose has had his nose to the grindstone on and off-stage, producing some heavy work for Adidas, Puma, Wolfkop Weekender and now G-Shock and (THE) Gorillaz at his own sound production agency, Say Thank You.
If you’re stuck for a gift this festive, get this special bundle from G-Shock and Gorillaz: The DW-5600HRGRZ-1ER is now available as special edition with an exclusive Gorillaz X G-SHOCK „Tranz“ Remix by Sibot himself – only while stocks last of course! The download code is in the box and can be used until November 30, 2019 – get yours here!
