This November DJ Lag’s Something for Clermont is returning with a line-up of Gqom, Amapiano and Afro House artists.
Taking place at the White House Café in Clermont on November 7th, Something for Clermont is especially curated by DJ Lag to showcase some Durban legends as well as Clermont’s younger talent.
Among the artists performing is Mr JazziQ who, says DJ Lag, “is making some of my favourite ‘piano tracks right now” – and whose latest EP, For The Babies, showcases the power of women vocalists in the amapiano and dance genres.
Also on the line-up is Mampinsta Shimora, Babes Wodumo, DJ Bongz, Dep Narratives, Mshekesheke, DJ Tempo, Mhlengi and several more.
DJ Lag’s appearances in his home town are becoming the stuff of legend.
His Something for Clermont-hosted Boiler Room set in September 2019 made it on to the hotly contested Best of the Boiler Room 2019 list. As Boiler Room said at the time: “The time has finally come for the Gqom King himself, the originator and elevator, a global club staple who can produce hits for Beyonce & rip up a 3 hour set in Berghain with equal measure, its DJ Lag.”
Tickets cost R80 before 8pm and R100 after 8pm with VIP tickets costing R150. Pre -sold tickets are available at Webtickets and Boxer outlets.
