DJ Lag brings his signature Gqom sound to Lojay’s Afrobeats hit “Tenner” with a new remix.
Released on 5 August, Tenner (DJ Lag Remix) gives the track a darker, more club-focused edge. Lag reshapes the original production with the driving rhythms and stripped-back energy that have become central to his sound.
Lojay’s vocals remain at the heart of the remix. His melodic delivery now sits against Lag’s Gqom-inspired production, creating a meeting point between Nigerian Afrobeats and Durban’s distinctive club sound.
“Tenner” originally appeared on Lojay’s 2025 album XOXO. The remix offers a fresh take on the track while introducing it to a new dancefloor space through Lag’s production.
The release also forms part of Lojay’s ongoing “Tenner Tuesdays” series. The series sees the Nigerian singer revisit the track through a run of remixes from different producers and artists. Previous versions have included remixes from Aniko, Walshy Fire, Yosa & KEVIN LNDN, and Enoo Napa.
For Lag, the remix adds another cross-border collaboration to an already expansive 2026. .
