Sho Madjozi to open for Stromae at New York’s Madison Square Garden & other North American dates

Sho Madjozi has been announced as Stromae’s Special Guest on ten of his North American Multitude Tour dates. Sho will join the Belgian artist for two nights on November 21st and 22nd at New York City’s Madison Square Gardens – a venue Stromae previously sold out in 2015. She will also open for Stromae at his show at The Anthem in Washington D.C. on December 3rd and again on December 6th when the Multitude Tour heads to Agganis Arena in Boston. Other cities on the tour include a total of four nights at the Bell Centre in Montreal, as well as shows in Toronto and Quebec.

With her music and aesthetic proudly located in her Tsonga heritage and then brilliantly combined with a distinctive modern outlook, Sho is a wonderful musical foil for Stromae and it is no surprise that he selected her as his Special Guest. She is a multi-award winner – including two high-profile South African Music Awards (Best Female and Best Newcomer), the much-coveted BET Award for Best New International Artist and being named Glamour Magazine’s SA Woman of the Year. She has also crossed many musical boundaries – in 2019 becoming a global viral sensation when she performed her previously unreleased single “John Cena” (2019) on the Colors platform. Now viewed just under 25-million times, her breakout performance grabbed the attention of rap icon Missy Elliot, pop powerhouse Kelly Clarkson and Mr WWE himself, John Cena – and played a significant role in expanding her global fanbase.

Born Paul Van Haver in 1985 in Brussels, to a Rwandan father and a Flemish mother,  Stromae is a singer, songwriter and producer, designer and director whose has had one billion-plus streams on YouTube and 200 million streams worldwide for his music on albums Cheese (2010), Racine carrée (2013) and now Multitude (2022). Like Sho, Stromae is a genuine multi-talent, having founded Mosaert – an anagram of Stromae – in 2009 in Brussels together with his brother and artistic director Luc Van Haver. The creative label operates in the fields of fashion, audiovisual media and, of course, music.

Her upcoming dates will be preceded by a new single, “Toro”, out on November 11 through Epic Records.
