Morena Leraba’s star continues to rise, on the back of a musical gift that’s mining a deep cultural seam while voraciously drawing on future sounds.
The Lesotho-born artist’s most recent collaboration is with Onipa on the London-based group’s debut, We No Be Machine. Released on March 20th via Strut Records, the album sees Leraba contribute to the groove-heavy, hip hop propelled “Free Up” which also features Spoek Mathambo and Syntax.
The Onipa feature adds to Leraba’s growing list of collaborations – most recently with BLKJKS on “Harare” and Africa Express on “Johannesburg”. Leraba is currently working on new music for release later in 2020.
