The global love for Sho Madjozi’s latest single “Chale” is not stopping! Just a few weeks after the release of the exuberant video for the track it was trending on YouTube with more than 350 000 views. This follows the six million-plus views generated by a short TikTok post that first previewed the track.
“Chale” was written with DJ and producer Tboy DaFlame who was her tourmate during Sho’s North America tour with Stromae at the end of 2022. The single had its live debut with show-stopping performances in Tanzania and Ghana early in 2023 and the video perfectly captures the track’s amapiano-driven, high-energy feel.
Shot on the streets of Cape Town, “Chale” showcases Sho’s magnetic presence and the love her homegrown fans have for her, easily visible when a group of real fans crashed the video shoot to snap pics with the artists!
Great news for fans of this superstar-in-waiting is that Sho is working on more new music for release during 2023 as part of her deal with Epic Records.
