Bongeziwe Mabandla has released a lyric video for the Lemon & Herb and Kaargo remix of Thula, a song that originally appeared as a tender folk tribute to his mother on his 2023 album amaXesha. Now reimagined as a rich Afrohouse track, the remix offers a fresh, dance-inflected take while preserving the emotional depth at the heart of the original.

The track is part of amaXesha Remixes a continuation of Mabandla’s acclaimed album, featuring reworks of select songs by both local and international DJs. This latest release adds a new layer to his genre-defying sound, bridging acoustic soul with electronic textures.

The lyric video, released over Mother’s Day weekend, beautifully mirrors the song’s blend of organic and electronic elements. Featuring the remix album’s artwork, the visual combines raw, earthy textures with pulsing digital accents.
