Dwson set to uplift fans and promote Dignity campaign with high production livestream concert

Dwson will follow-up the hotly anticipated May 15 th release of his Griqua EP with an intimate livestream concert.

Dwson Live In Concert is set to take place on May 22 nd at 20h00 on the high-quality Militia livestreaming platform, with Dwson promising fans a concert to uplift and connect. It also enables Dwson to amplify his support for The Dignity Campaign, which is raising funds fordignity packs that provide young women and girls living in poverty with sanitary wear during the global Covid-19 pandemic.

“Like many other artists, the feeling of connection is what we craving most right now,” says the Cape Town-based artist of his upcoming livestream. “I am happy that we have platforms to use to stay connected during times like these. We need to keep our spirits up and music has always been a good way of doing that.

“I am also grateful to be able to use this livestream to help raise funds for The Dignity Campaign which is playing such an important role in restoring the dignity of girls and young women,” adds Dwsons. “I believe that gender rights and gender equality is something that all of us, men and women, must be committed to and I am happy to play a small part in a project that empowers young women in our communities.”

Dwson’s upcoming live set will showcase a diversity of sounds – including Deep House, Tech and Afro Melodic. “I’ll also be playing music that I am feeling and making right now,” he says.

London-based Aluku Records is releasing Dwson’s Griqua EP worldwide on May 15 th . The two-track recording is already making waves with Dwson’s distinctive sound earning him spots on Traxsource’s Top 100 Deep House and Deep House Essentials charts. “Griqua” is a mixture of Afro/Deep/Progressive House music that comes together in an emotionally driving journey of sorrow and upliftment while “Finsch” is a sophisticated deep house cut that provides a catchy counterpoint to the EP’s title track.

Dwson’s livestreaming show is part of a stellar line-up of live shows on the Militia platform which has streamed more than 2.6 million minutes of content over the past five years. The artist-centric  streaming model has been set-up to give artists an important source of additional income.

Dwson will be donating profits from each ticket sold to The Dignity Campaign which is providing dignity packs (including 3 washable pads, 1 bar of soap and 1 facecloth) to girls and young women living in circumstances where sanitary wear is considered a luxury.
